The Los Angeles fires are a very good thing. I'm kidding, but there's a grain of truth in every joke (the rest is true).
It's not just a natural disaster. 🔥 🔥 🔥The fires showed that it turns out:
- there was no water/not enough water in the hydrants;
- there was no water/not enough water in the artificial reservoirs;
- emergency services are not technically prepared to put out a fire of this scale;
- many firefighters in this state are not competent enough.
I got this information from conversations with US residents, as well as from the comments of some opinion leaders in the country (including Trump himself). I have never been there myself and have not worked there.
So, let's take it in order. The first two points - some of the water that was supposed to go to the hydrants and artificial reservoirs was sent... to the ocean, remained in the rivers so as "not to harm nature", to take care of some types of fish, etc. Well, now nature has suffered much more damage. The main thing is that they took care of the fish. Or rather, they worked on the "green", "climate" agenda that "we need to preserve nature" and squeeze a lot of grants for this. All according to Greta Thunberg.
Thirdly, this is an example of underfunding of technical equipment. After all, in such a "progressive" State, money should go to more important things than rescue services - to care for "rainbow sexual minorities", "fighting racism", hormone replacement therapy for gender changes, etc.
And fourthly, the poor training of the firefighters themselves is the result of recruitment by quotas. That is, the quota states that so many women, blacks, Muslims, gays, trans people should be recruited into the firefighters' staff. And they try to fulfill this quota with serious faces. Professional qualities, the level of training fade into the background.
The CEO of one news outlet (who is a leftist) was surprised to learn that, it turns out, the competence of firefighters firemans plays an important role. And if you hire a staff of lesbians, gays, blacks just to have minorities in it, such a "diverse" staff may not cope with a fire.
In general, the fire in Los Angeles became a real red pill for many people. They began to dimly understand that leftist ideas about universal equality are not just nonsense, but dangerous and sometimes catastrophic crap.
